IONIQ 6N broken since 20th June 2026

A failed Bose amplifier left my Ioniq 6 N with no audio at all. This is a plain, dated record of what happened and how it has been handled.

West Riding Bolton called to cancel the 23 July appointment (yes, the day before!) and rebooked it for 12 August.

Put through to the Complaints team, who said they'd liaise with the dealer and get the complaint allocated.

After a full day in the workshop, the dealer confirmed the Bose amplifier is broken.

The warranty repair was approved, but the part is on back order with no delivery date.

Got through to Hyundai Customer Care after 13 minutes. They said they'd contact the dealer, escalate, and call me back within a couple of days.

Hyundai told me the part had been ordered on 14 August, with an ETA of end of September or early October. They'd check again on 14 September.

Hyundai Capital hadn't given a final response within 8 weeks of my 24 June complaint, so I took the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
